I HATE VALENTINES DAY

Starring John Corbett and Nia Vardalos where she also directed the film. Takes place in New York City. Nia owns a flower shop and she loves the holiday valentines day. She is just one happy upbeat lady who wishes every day could be Valentines Day. helps her friends with their dating life and she when she dates guys she only dates them until the fifth date and then ends it. she does not believe in relationships.

John Corbett is the "new" guy in the neighbourhood who was hoping a new restaurant and walks into Nia's flower shop to purchase some flowers for his girlfriend that was a tourist and Nia suggested he would go get the landlord to let him in her apartment and leave the flowers on the bedside table but he just finds the girlfriend shagging another man so there goes his "relationship."

Nia has a friend that she googles the guys she dates, like excessively google the man, and texts the guy 82 times between now and the date.
  
Corbett's friend Cal is a real douche bag, he is always on his phone and next listens.

Nia is on a new date with a new guy and she goes on telling her that she is not looking for a relationship and wonders why the guy is getting turned on and looking at her like he is. Next day, Nia walks into Corbett's restaurant to offer her flower service for his opening night. And she wow's him with her selling tactic and convinces that he needs flowers. And he is intrigued with her five date rules.

Corbett decides to go along with her five date rule so standing outside of his restaurant and blurts out, i want to have sex with you... but Nia grabs his mouth and says that i dont believe in relationships but it does not make herself easy. Corbett is not one bit romantic so Nia gives him ideas of the typical dates, to help him get the courage to ask her out himself - he is just so stumped with the whole idea of woo'ing her. But then she finds a note in his back pocket with her name on it asking her to be his date for his restaurent opening. (Date One). Talking about what they love and their fears and breathless flirting.

(Date Two) art gallery opening. It is.... Interesting! that is the only word to describe the gallery opening. also do information trading of their background.

(Date Three) should be an adventure.

Nia had phoned a critic for Corbett for when he is ready to be well known to the public, it was not her first favor she has done for him. And then they end up sitting outside his restaurent on the bench guessing if people are unhappy or happy as they walk by.

(Date Four - Five) Corbett cooks dinner, and she spends the night and stayed over for two nights.

But Nia did not count Date five so she was a little heart broken and really does want a relationship.

I give the movie 3.5 stars out of five....
